Well actually our creek is called by us here a crick. A little smaller. I could jump across it.

A crick is what you get in the neck when you've slept funny.

LOL

I get that all the time!

I'm from a small town up at the mountain called Frogtown. About 50 people.

We have our own way of talk up here.

And yes, there is ALOT of frogs here, and those pesky teradactal skeeters!

Fifty people! Wow! That's even smaller than the village I grew up in. It had 300 when I was there. I think it's well into the 400s now.

I love frogs. One of my favourite lessons I did with J and X when they were a bit littler was to get online and listen to the calls of some Australian frogs and then play a game trying to match the frog to their call.

Yeah.
I love to go out on the porch in the evening to listen to them.

But the only problem is if I forget the bug spray I come back in 20lbs lighter!

I think this summer I'm going to do my nightly reading of the bible out there, which will be 2:00 in the morning!

Why 2am?

I really need to get back into my morning Bible time. Since moving I haven't been getting up early like I used to. 5-6am is the best time for me. It's not too early, but nobody else is around and I find I can just concentrate on being with God rather than what I need to get done to keep the family organised.

Kayaking is one of the many things that I've never done.

Trish, I've got two nearly new kayaks going to waste in the backyard right now. Anytime you want to come for a visit you're welcome to take one of them out.

Yikes, what keeps you up until that time BK?

J came home today raving about school. They're having a cartoonist come in and teach for two hours a day for four days this week and J thinks it's the best thing he's ever done.

In contrast, X is going on an excursion to the local Waste Management Centre soon.

Dh is out tonight finishing a job. It's the first paying work we've done today. We went out this morning to do a quote on a job which dh had been told had a difficult customer. Dh said she was fine, just a professional who expected professional courtesy, ie being called if someone is running late..... which we were because there was an accident on the motorway.

Then we went out and did a site survey on a telephone system which we'll be working on on Friday.

My day has been good, although I'm feeling like I need a day at home soon. I miss being home all day and just being able to do my thing.

So, are you pretty much working most of the time with dh now?

Yeah, I know what you mean on that.....I kinda miss the days that I used to stay home with my girls. Wonder if it has anything to do with being tired all the time?

Yeah, I'm going out with dh most days.

Dh calls every second Thursday my RDO because I go to Ladies Bible Study that day, but other than that I'm only home when it's time to pick the kids up from school and then it's homework time, so not getting very much personal time right now.

Absolutely, and I am enjoying that, but I haven't had any time to sit down and write since we made the changes and that's a real downer.

Kylie

Edited because absolutelly isn't a word, and I don't want to give any television stations ideas.

I think I need to start getting up at 6am again, instead of 7am, and just do what I need to then. That way I can stop whinging about it all.

It's not missing the extra hour's sleep that would bother me. It's the extra hour of cuddling.

When dh isn't around I'm usually up at 5-6am every morning.

Have a great day Darcy! And anyone else who pops in too!

Well, another day is nearly done here.

J, X and I are home and dh has gone off to do an afternoon job.

We put in a system in an unfinished factory today where painters were also working. It's always interesting when there are too many different things going on at the same time. I accidentally messed up the paint on one wall we hadn't been told was wet and dh kicked a roller out of a tray because it was laying across a doorway. And I had to ask two different people to move gear at different stages so we could get done.

And after all that one of the parts wasn't in the box, so someone else is going to have to go there to complete the job.

We did get it to usable stage though, which is good.

Hey Pammy! How are you?

We're gradually settling into things here in Brisbane. My car is finally up here and should be ready to be registered by the end of next week. We need to buy new tyres before we can get the safety check done.

Once I have my car on the road I think I'll feel a lot more freedom to explore our new area.

I'm doing well thank you!! I'm glad to hear that you all are slowly settling in! How is your new neighborhood??
