Darcy, if you want to see Holeproof you can go here to have a look.

That's the pic which should be coming up as my avatar.

We've just got back from dance. Their lesson went nearly half an hour overtime. Dh and I could have spent more time over breakfast. Ah well!

I'm off to get a haircut this afternoon, so I look a little less like the smiley below.

Oh, forgot to add - J and X missed a lesson over the holidays because I didn't know that the lessons were on. This school has lessons on all but the middle Saturday of the hols whereas their previous school took the entire holidays off.

With this school, if a lesson is missed we still have to pay for it, but they can do a lesson during the week to make up for missing, so on Tuesday afternoon they will be going to a Drama lesson. I think they'll probably have a blast.

Well, we've been out nearly all day.

We were late getting to church because dh and I slept in.

I had a headache last night so I think my body just needed to catch up. I slept for about 12 hrs altogether. I don't know what dh's excuse was.

I am so glad we didn't just decide not to go because we were a little late. Our church had a guest speaker. I think his name was Chris Gammon, not sure, but he wasn't the guy who was supposed to be speaking. The one who was supposed to be there had his plane delayed a day, so wasn't able to make it.

I believe it was one of those God things because the speaker who came prophesied over some people at the end of the service. One of those people was dh, and the speaker prophesied some stuff would come to fruition which dh and I have only ever talked about in private and had never mentioned to anyone else that that is where we would like to be in the future.

Isn't God awesome?!!!!!

Then we went shopping for meat and veges before ducking home to get changed and heading out again to the Pet and Animal Expo where we spend a lovely afternoon looking at the most gorgeous dogs and listening to Dr Harry speak (television personality/vet).

Hi Kylie. Wow, wasn't that awesome? Somebody speaking out your secret desires in God. It'll be interesting seeing it all coming true.

You saw Dr Harry? Cool! I've never seen him in person, but I have sent a letter to him via Better Homes and Gardens.

Trish, I was nearly in tears while the guy was speaking. It was just incredible!

And Dr Harry was great, although I do wish he wouldn't single out specific breeds in his talks, but rather just discuss the dangers and how to's of greeting strange dogs. It always bugs me to hear a specific breed singled out, because it gives people the false impression that some breeds are 'safe'.

The worst injury I ever saw from a dog came from a Kelpie. My niece, now 24, still has scars all over her face from it.

Dh and I put in an eight zone alarm together today and this afternoon, after he dropped the kids and I home, dh went off to start on an eleven zone system. If he completes this one tonight we will have made about 70% of our weekly budget in one day. I love it when the Lord supplies work like that. It takes so much pressure off.

Hi Kylie, sorry I am a bit slow to pop in here, but I have been away for the weekend and am just starting to catch up. I was getting worried when we didn't see you at the changeover that maybe you had decided not to make yet another move!!...lol

Anyway it is good to see you and catch up with all you are doing.

Yes Trish, we had a good time. We went camping at one of the dams north of here. We went with another couple and the boys spent a lot of time fishing and we girls took some 'time out'.

It was rather disheartening though to see how much the dam level is down due to the drought, and this dam is in an area which has been declared not that badly affected by the drought, yet the levels are down about half. I was so aware that God is not giving our country the blessing of rain and felt very burdened to pray for the Spiritual health of this nation. So it became a time of quiet reflection and prayer.

Is West Australia being affected as badly with the drought as the East is? How is the water situation in that part of the country?

We're having really bad droughts. Our dams are only something like 23% full. We can only have the sprinklers on twice a week tops. They're trying to find another water source to keep us going.

Wow, sounds scary, you two. We had a drought about three years ago, and I was watering my ornamental plants outside with my wash water..... but I still don't think we had it as bad as it sounds like you do.

Trish, we have not been allowed sprinklers for about the last 3 or 4 years. And now we are only allowed to water by hose for half an hour on alternate days and not at all on Fridays. I am glad I have not got much of a garden otherwise it would be in a very sorry shape about now

We have had enough rain to keep the grass barely alive and the few plants I do have are coping. But unfortunately the rain we get is not getting to our catchment area so our dam level is down to about 22% at the moment. I would dearly love to put rainwater tanks in, but we do not really have a lot of room for them in the place they would be most effective, and it would cost a fortune to put them under the ground, which is our only other alternative.

Our Council is looking at alternate water sources too. And I think they have been looking at councils in WA for ideas.

Hi Darcy. No it is not fun coping with drought, but it is the nature of our country. I guess we have learned to live with it for the most part. Although this drought has gone on for a lot longer than any I have known, that is for sure. I keep thinking of that verse in Chronicles which talks about how if the "people would humble themseves and pray, the Lord will hear them and answer their prayers and heal their land". I truly believe that verse is for our country, because for the most part those that call themselves Christian are really only paying 'lipservice' to it and are not really submitting themselves to God's authority.

But we are the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit and God is rising up his people

I'll give you an Amen on that.

It seems that there is more than one culturally Christian country, hmmmm?

Well, what can I say......if God has to speak to us in that way, it might do us all well to listen. BEFORE it gets too bad, preferably.

They've got no idea what they're going to do for water here. The old shadow premiere was going to construct this huge water pipe from the Kimberlys. It would have cost millions and millions!

Julie, I'm just a slow moving kind of girl!

I don't believe in rushing things.

Here in Qld the water restrictions are actually relaxed compared to Sydney, but it really doesn't affect us too much because I'm not a person who is really into gardening and all we have here is lawn.

But there is talk of water restrictions if the situation doesn't improve soon.

Having said that, I walked out in bare feet this evening to put the bin out and the lawn was wet from the dew.

We don't use the sprinklers as much as we are allowed. I hand water every now and again, but on the whole, we really try to conserve water.

Having grown up on tank and dam water I find I just naturally don't use as much water as some of my friends who grew up in the city with a seemingly limitless supply of water. When I was young it was always drummed into me to turn off the taps, not take long showers, recycle water where possible etc.

Morning guys.

Hey, we got plenty of water up here right now. Wish I could share it with you!

My creek in the back yard has been full for the last 2 years.

God has so blessed PA with the weather lately.

Hey BrianKeith and welcome!

I miss the creek just down the driveway. We haven't been kayaking since we got to Brisbane.
