ORIGINAL: Mark328 LOL @ the tidy whities comment. I've seen plenty of folks here in the KJVO crowd that probably WOULD freak out over using the NKJV, though. So true. Thanks RC

ORIGINAL: echunt I have a KJV / Amp. parallel. Both translations in one book. So, you recommend Amplified Bible, then? I've never read that translation before. I may have to check it out. I am not recommending it...but it works for me. I am partial to KJV but the Amp. helps wade through the "thee's and thou's" The best part about the parallel is you have both books in one. Next time you are at your Bible/Christian/Book store look through one and see if it is what YOU are wanting. A good Bible is not cheap, take your time and find one that YOU are comfortable with. I do suggest that you research before you buy. There is a translation that has completely left out verses and the commity that wrote it had a lesbian on it.

For the truth on that statement, check out the one stop KJVO thread. Well that depends; maybe they wete not there to be placed in the 1611 version, Not to derail this into a KJVO one stop. But when comparing a translation should we consider the KJV as the "Truth" or should we rely on the plethora of ancient manuscripts that have surfaced since 1611. I also am not sure about the sexuality of the group that did the KJV; is anyone else. Thanks RC
