Will any of you be wearing costumes on Halloween? If so, what will they be? We have a big kids event on that day and I think I'm supposed to dress up. I have no idea what to wear. Something clever and creative. Any ideas????

Maybe I'll find a skeleton costume, since I work for a chiropractor.

I'm going dressed as myself. That should be scarry enough.

I just goofed and posted this in the locked thread.

Kath - the electrical tweezers that you linked us to earlier . . . do they really not leave stubble?

No, they rip the hair out at the root, just like tweezers do.

Beckey - there are stores out here in Pigeon Forge that are named, "As Seen on T.V."
LOL

That would be so cool!
Linens and Things has the "as seen on tv" thing going too, but I haven't noticed that they are all in one area.

Like I reached over and yanked out a really wild looking eyebrow hair the other day and it actually measured 1" in length! yeah, I measured it! he was too busy crying "MY EYE MY EYE!" to be interested though. I think that the things take root in the back of his eye socket or some such.

Oh, I laughed and laughed at this!

Larry gets his ear hair waxed. It's a special kind of substance, it drys all white and thick and she puts sticks on it to rip it off. It really looks painful but he looks so nice when she is done.

thread name suggestions, really just to laugh at:

Hotel Kerr-ifornia (you can log out any time you like, but you can never leave!)
Kerr-tesy Calls
Kerr-itical Mass (is reached in thirty days!)
...but then sometimes I'm not as funny as I think I am....

I like these three!

I checked out your link to that SG group but I don't have sound.

Well I have been in a couple of those discussions lately. I just thought it was appropriate. They will probably make me remove it.

Nope, if they do they will have to make me remove mine too!

I thought to myself she posted in a closed thread. Only a mod could do that.

Cool. If you're offering treats, maybe I should hang out here this month. For some reason, seeing the title reminds me of the time we went to Sam's Club on Halloween and they gave me a bunch of candy but I don't remember if I already posted that story.

Oh Kath, it really was funny. This was probably about 8-10 years ago and some friends invited us to go to Sam's with them. We never go out on Halloween but, since that was when they were going, we decided to do it. I was with my mom and my sister who is 8 1/2 years younger than me.

Almost as soon as we entered the store, someone came up and asked if I would like some candy. I can be pretty dense and at first didn't think much about it but said sure. Then she turned to my sister and asked if it was okay. Thankfully, my sister said it was fine, so they gave me the candy. Now keep in mind I'm somewhere around 25 at the time.

We did our shopping and, as we were checking out, I think it was the same person who came over and said they had a ton of candy left and that I was welcome to take as much as I wanted, looking at my sister as she asked. I think that's when I realized they must have thought I was a LOT younger than I actually was. I don't know how old they thought my sister was but it was hilarious. Needless to say, I didn't correct them. I just thanked them very much and proceeded to bring candy home to my other sisters.

My sister and I still laugh when we think of it. I did have a bonnet on but, still, I don't think I looked THAT young!

Sam has a club that gives out candy???

I thought the only club he had was hanging on a Sam Browne belt.

Oh, Kath. You really missed something. I don't know what and I'm fairly certain it wasn't music but it was something.

P.S. I love that avatar of yours!

That means you're obligated to give her candy unless you prefer a trick.

Question:

I have heard Southern Gospel... What's Northern Gospel sound like?

Ezri, I was going to link you to a English christian folk band to try to answer the question but the link is no longer valid.
