Hi All,

I was listening to a radio program by Tim Barrons yesterday and I turned on in the middle of an interview with some guy from The Prophecy Club. He was talking about a prophetess named Leslie and said she was a true Old Testament prophet as opposed to a New Testament prophet. He stated all New Testament prophets were'nt accurate because they hadn't developed their skill yet and needed to pray more, etc, etc. Then he went on to say he was going to discover oil in Israel this year and this would help to encourage the Israelies to stand up against a Palestian state?

He never did say who he was and I was ashamed that Barrons didn't challenge him on his claims of Leslie being very accurate. Isn't a prophet either 100% accurate or not? Is this just another Benny Hinn story?

100% Accuracy. There is no need to practice. God gives you are prophecy and you say it. There is no fortune telling like what you see go on tv.

With the current economy, money is tight. Perhaps I can practice by developing a show for their network called "Prophecy for Fun and Profit."

It's so simple and error-proof that too many just cannot accept the biblical truth of it.

Rod Parsley - the hardest working Word of Faith false teacher on TV said a few years ago...

"Send me a seed gift of $1,000 and I will impart my anointing to you!!!"

You either prophecy or you don't. There are no old testament prophets because we aren't under the old testament.

Once again you either prophecy or you don't.

I'm biting my lip... almost to the point of blood...

I believe prophecy is for today... I even disagree with the statements of...

quote:

... And I'm still aghast that someone declared someone else an "Old Testament Prophet". If you are going to pick up that title, you had better be 100% accurate because "Old Testament Prophets" are under the laws of Deuteronomy concerning "Old Testament Prophets".

I've never heard of this group "The Prophecy Club", and based on what I have heard here would be very circumspect regarding most that they have said. However, I'm going to resist the temptation to make a definitive statement because (A) there is no confirmation of the above story and (B) I have no context of the speaker to know what he thought he meant. Until there is satisfaction of those two conditions, I will not make a definitive statement.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by a "Benny Hinn" story, but I'm inclined to believe it would be off-topic to explain...

Uhm, sorry to be a pain... but this is in no way relevant to the topic and seems to be little more than attempting to make Rod Parsley look like a doof. Opinion 1) He doesn't need the help. Opinion 2) can we keep this on topic please? Opinion 3) I would much prefer that the WoF stuff be limited to the WoF OneStop.

Adam,

All of these false prophets, false teachers and teachings, claims, and declarations are inter-connected like a bad movie.

I pray that one day you will see that the leadership of The Call of IHOP is indeed at fault because of their problematic teachings and failed prophecies. There is no room to wiggle with 100% accuracy for someone claiming to be a Prophet.

Rod Parsley IS relevant. He claims to be a prophet in addition to being a major player in the WoF cult.

And just for the record. He is a DOOF

You're not aware that every single prophecy Benny Hinn has spoken has been utterly false? And some even offensive and contrary to Christianity?

The Prophecy Club, if it's the one I'm thinking of has had
numerous teachers, preachers concerning prophecy.
Usually end times.

A person can pick up a point here and there, {if they are
grounded in the Word} but for the most part, it's just
marketing their ideologies in book and tape forms.

I have several DVD's that were shot at the Prophecy Club.
I didn't learn from the DVD's, I learned digging to see if
what they said were true or not.

And like eartless said, all these spider webs are inter-connected.

That doesn't seem to be the one I'm thinking of.
The one I thought of was connected to Lester Sumrall's ministry.

But it must be the one the OP is talking about.

quote:

He says the Jubilee cycles portray the chronological order of events for the next 37 years: such as the year 2010 bringing seven years of disease pandemics, 2024 portrays the seven year cycle of the fall of America, 2030 portrays the seven year cycle of the return of the lost tribes to Israel, 2033 portrays the tribulation ending, and 2045 portrays the beginning of the Millennium. He is not setting dates, only teaching what the jubilee cycles portray.

Okay, which is it?

Giving the year isn't setting dates? LOL.

I loved this excerpt from the piece on Dr. Bree Keyton on their website:

"She will show you how to go into the courts of Heaven to get your prayers answered." Gee, and all this time I thought Jesus had already made a way for us to do that. What was I thinking?!?

I also loved her pictures HERE. Just in case God didn't know He already owns everything, she's staking claims to His territory for Him.

All them thar pictures extract the money from the
unsuspecting to pay for her trips. lol.

I "come boldly before the Throne of Grace" every
morning where I am at the time. In bed, in the shower,
on my knees at "my" pew, at the kitchen table, etc.

(A) No, not all of "these false prophets, false teachers and teachings, claims, and declarations" are intertwined. There is not some vast conspiracy to propogate heresy amongst the church. Many of these people do speak at the same gatherings because they hit on the same themes. Many of them are discipled by the same individuals (hence the similarity in ideas), but it is not that they are all conspirators dreaming up ways to sideline the church and send people to hell.

(B) Remembering that I will have to answer to God for the things that I have said, I will merely say that your praying "about me" and the leadership of the ministry I am in is your own prerogative... I pray that God would give to you a Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of His Son.

Think what you will about him. However, unless Rod Parsley is in some way connected to "the Prophecy Club", then your response would be as off topic as me highlighting Billy Graham in a thread dedicated to Jerry Falwell.
quote:

You're not aware that every single prophecy Benny Hinn has spoken has been utterly false? And some even offensive and contrary to Christianity?
(A) I was not adressing you. (B) I also said that it would probably be delving off-topic to explain it. So for that particular point, I am uninterested in exactly what was meant by a "Benny Hinn" story. It is a euphemism that I do not understand, but it doesn't detract from the overall point made by the OP.
quote:

Thou shalt speak no evil to the only place in the country that I can go and get pancakes and/or waffles with Loganberry flavored syrup. There is nothing false about that.
Amen... and heartily agreed sir...... though I am partial to butter pecan, myself.

Thanks everyone for the good replies. It is amazing all the false prophets poping-up recently. To the poster who asked about Benny Hinn, my point was exactly what earthless replied. He is absolutely false in his prophetic claims. He said all homosexuals would die several years ago and it didn't happen, he also said Jesus would appear on stage with him and he gave a time window which has passed, etc, etc.

I don't understand how anyone who claims to be born-again can trust in people like Hinn, Bentley or Parsley. Yes I too lump Parsley in this bunch. Even though they don't conspire together to dupe their congregations, they all have one thing in common, False teaching.

I'm an "eye witness" that saw and heard Parsley tell how they
call each other on the phone to see "what the Lord is telling each of them."
That's why we hear them saying the same things. Not because God is telling
each of them the same thing, but because they "network" each other.

This was one of those shows when Parsley was the host on TBN.
That's when the blinders fell from my eyes.
We are duped to believe "this must be what God is saying, because
each preacher I see on tv is saying the same thing."

I was reading Jeremiah 23 this week about the false prophets.
I was also looking for the verse that tells us that people believe what
they say (their lies) because they "want it that way." I don't recall off
hand where it is.

This, from that website:

The Holy Spirit will be encouraged to flow. The Holy spirit will be encouraged to flow ....yes, we'll let him out of his box so he can f l o w........didn't know He was liquid? Didn't know He needed our permission........you learn so much on these sites.

Both beginner and experienced believer will be carefully guided.....by who and what? .....to stretch their spiritual wings to fly to heights never attained before.....are parachutes provided ? Will they still need to book a flight for vacations or will they now be able to translate themselves?

We are quite sure you have not experienced this regardless of your 'level' in the Lord.....excuse me? oh I have experienced it. I stepped in it by accident when I went out to feed the horses the other day.

Prophet Leslie Johnson
She has given over 5,000 personal prophecies with pinpoint accuracy in her dreams, visions and prophetic Words. She is the author of 5 books: The Perfect Touch, The Crown of Glory, Help Me I’m All Tied Up, More Than A Ruby, and What It Takes to Be a Prophet, and two additional DVDs: Dreams and Visions from God and Unlocking Your Spiritual Gifts.

Personal prophecies....over 5000 of them! I wonder if she would recognize Paul and if he would get tired of her too....I know I would.
Fortune telling at it's best. Personal prophecy is not what the gift of prophecy is for.....that, is the exception...NOT the rule.

Unlocking your spiritual gifts.....I am ready to barf. I wish I could. These people all need swirlies.

I am angry at this garbage. Can you tell? Yes, it is laughable. But I find it degrading to myself and other Christians. This is not what Chrisitianity is about. These people are LUNATICS. Certifiable. And they are raking it in...........

And to add insult to injury.. there are self-professing Christians here who say you're bad for even talking about and or belittle your attempts of discussing these things.
