ORIGINAL: mariadreamer In the tradition of the Orthodox Church, we read this psalm before Holy Communion - for the very reason that the "table" is the reference to it. It is a beautiful psalm. Despite the troubles and temptations of this world, God prepares the table to feed us with the Bread from Heaven. Yes - God's communion table is for all His children to gather around and His Word is never in short supply to feast upon. Hallelujah. Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled." Sometimes His children go spiritually hungry because they do not feast upon His Word but never because there is a shortage of spiritual food. Thank you for sharing about God's 'communion table' mariadreamer.
