ORIGINAL: Kath We had gone to our pastor for counseling, but he admitted he never forgets anything as it's part of history, and doesn't believe anyone can change. Pastor said as long as he has that attitude he can't help us. We get by. Oh sweetie...I'm so sorry...part of being a Christian is "change" so his statement doesn't give much hope of the gospel transforming lives. Kath, you are loved and most assuredly cherished around here. and we're very thankful that you're okay.

ORIGINAL: crankius (((Kath))) He is very blessed to have you. Amen. For some people like my dad, they are fortunate to have the wives they do. Like Peter wrote in his epistle, some men really are saved by the example of their wives. (Misusing the text slightly there, but in a permissible way I think. Peter is talking about salvation of the soul, but I think it's fair to extrapolate that a bit.) BT

Hang in there Kath. If you need to vent do it here in one of the PFY threads. At least we will support you here. Things will get better. My dad was a lot like your Larry. He worked hard to provide for us but he did have some strange ideas. For instance I cannot remember him telling any of us he loved us. Including my mom. We knew he did in his way but he never said it. Things will get better. I will add you to my prayer list.

Can someone direct me to where Kath or someone wrote about what happened to her? Or tell me? I don't mean to be nosy. I'm just back from over a week away (posted on the last page). Whatever it is, I'm so sorry for your troubles, {{{Kath}}}.

I was a grown man with children before he ever told me he loved me - and that only after I said it to him first. He was also a man that I could never please. Fortunately, I realized that before I moved out on my own and decided I wouldn't spend my life trying win his approval.

One reason I'm still single is that I am a very strong person. I'm not rude or anything - in fact I'm very compassionate. But I know who I am and won't back down from that. I haven't had the best of luck finding a guy who I won't bowl right over the top of. I think you probably have what I call "spunk." I like spunk. My BW has it and I'm blessed.

Hey I am independent and strong willed and so is Mrs. Qtman. The one in the family I feel sorry for is my son-in-law. My daughter got the genes from both parents. Bless his pea picking heart.

Posting blind (as per usual these days) YAY!!! He's home!!! Got discharged this morning around 10:30. Gathered up the other kids from the houses where they had been staying and came home just in time for Caleb and I to leave for Bible study ... on the way HOME from Bible study (around 3:30), wouldn't ya know ... I'm stopped at a red light and get rear-ended by a schoolbus from the Christian school in town. The driver even said she knew that the brakes were in need of service ... they gave out and she smacked the back of the van ... took it down to bare metal in places. WHAT NEXT?!?!?!?!?! Can I just say this has been a really lousy autumn for us thus far!!!
