Last night was Chinese take-out (I had to work late and hubby had it for me when I got home). I had mushroom chicken without the white rice.
The night before was buffalo patties...........that sounds yucky, doesn't it.....I should call it something different........individual serving sized buffalo meatloaf without the peppers and onions, quinoa, and sauteed green beans and onions.

Turkey thighs, new red potatoes, mixed veggies.
My advice, do not limit turkey to just Thanksgiving. It is good year round.

grilled chicken w honey/ginger sauce, fresh green beans w red potatoes grilled corn on the cob and blackberry cobbler for dessert...with or without homemade vanilla ice cream....

Jenny, do you make your own Jambalaya? I'd love to know the recipe if you don't mind.
Tonight we had salad and grilled sausages. It was really hot again so I was trying to avoid using the stove. The sausages I got from Costco today and they were sun dried tomato and provalone flavored chicken sausage. They were yummy, and only 6 grams of fat for one of them.

I have...but can't remember where the recipe is. Generally I just use Zaterain's mix. We like it, and I just use whatever meat is cheap-ham, sausage or chicken.

The best clotted cream is Cornish but you probably wouldn't get it. Chances are many places that sell a scones with tea and cream will be selling double (heavy) cream instead of clotted. Genuine Cornish clotted cream has a distinctive colour.
Clotted cream is time consuming to make ~ and if you're not particularly happy in the kitchen can be quite tricky.
Try this though.
You need full cream milk, fresh from the cow. Pour it into a shallow pan, and leave it to stand for about 12 hours for the cream to rise to the surface. Now heat the milk very slowly, until the surface begins to wrinkle: on no account allow the milk to boil- the more slowly the heating is done, the better the result. About one hours gentle heating is what is required. Transfer the pan to a cool place and leave overnight. In the morning the clotted cream can be spooned off the surface. (if you cannot get creamy enough milk, you can experiment by adding extra runny cream to the milk to beef up its cream content)

Balsamic Grilled Chicken (except I don't use balsamic vinegar but cider vinegar) cooked on the George Foreman. I made stuffing for hubby and a baked potato for myself, plus a romaine salad.

Burritos--I put two pork loin roasts ('cause they were on sale) in the crockpot this morning with a can of green enchilada sauce. After it cooked all day, I shredded it and served it in tortillas with cabbage, cheese, salsa and sour cream.
