Bummer Wintery, hang in there! I hope that doesn't sound like a band-aid type of answer, I just wanted to let you know that things go better.

Actually I just thought of something which may qualify as interesting/funny.

Someone triggered the thought of Mr. Bobby Allison in my mind the other day.

A friend of mine in recent years owned an old station wagon that was said to have been in the Allison family's ownership at one time. I helped him put a starter on it. Meaning that we took turns under the car reaching up and getting debris in our eyes.

Also, though I'll spare you the boring details, I had the occasion to briefly speak with the man on the phone once--super nice guy.

For those interested in meeting retired racers, he is a good one.

Interesting Wintery, I have to admit I have never heard of him before though.

Did you offer hi heated cranberry juice, Wintery? I bet he would have liked that.

I'm sorry about your day; my prayers for you tonight will be a good refreshing sleep.

I've been thinking about your friend, Joey, quite a bit today.

Thanks Lion and Whiteroseblessings.

Just keep in mind that I hold several licenses.

One of them is a "poetic license".

Mine has been suspended.

Now where is poetic justice when you need it

It seems as if it has been a long time since I have heard the rain falling down as it is right now.

Which subject brings to my mind the idea that some get that somehow weather is a reflection of their mood or a statement about something going on in their life.

Weather may be used to generate a certain sense of atmosphere in novels, but it isn't to be taken seriously as an indication that the world is moody.

Painting faces on the sun, moon and clouds may be humorous, or it may be a step away from thinking that powerful beings are expressing themselves through the elements.

Although weak beings do express themselves elementarily, but that is another story.

I did see where you tried the hot cranberry juice idea. It didn't seem like anything unusual to me when I started doing that. I wonder if I invented it?

Joey has written songs that people have sung and heard, they just don't know who he is.

"Blessed Jesus" and "Unto The King" are two examples. Listeners of the Integrity Music worship series will have likely heard some of his music.

Unto the King eternal,
Unto the King immortal,
Unto the King invisible,
the only wise God, the only wise God.

Love that song. If that is one of his, Bless Him. It has meant alot to me.

Yes, that one.

Since he was worship leader we were blessed to be singing that before any other church! Of course over the years many things have changed and many have gone their separate ways as we needed to, but the memories of great worship music continue with us.

Wintery, that is so incredibly awesome.

When you linked us to the benefit the other day, I spent some time doing a little bit of research on him.
I hope the benefit is a huge blessing to him . . . and to y'all who are involved in it.

And yes Sir, I think perhaps you may have been the one to invent hot cranberry juice. I had never head of it prior to your post (and of course, if I had never heard of it . . .).

Yes, it should. That would work for a 6 word story in Kerr's thread, too.

Good morning, Sir Wintery. I hope your day is wonderfully blessed.

And, I don't know about you, but it gives me gret comfort that you and I are pathetic is so many similar ways,

Wait. Not that you are so pathetic. Well, you know what I mean. heehee

And Sir Wintery . . . you are most welcomed to use my musings both as a sig and/or as a 6-word memoir.

I would be honored.

And richer . . . be looking for my invoice.

OOOOOOOOO I like it too. Do they still show the Peanuts Halloween special on network TV? I used to love watching the seasonal Peanuts specials every year. Same ones but still... Sometimes when talking to my kids I feel like I'm the teacher on those specials...

I don't know. I always loved and watched them, too. I can't even remember if my kids have seen the Great Pumpkin one. I'll have to ask them. I know they've seen the Christmas and Thanksgiving ones. Isn't there an Easter one with Snoopy passing out eggs? Or did I just imagine that?
