you know.... I think that those Rubik's cubes would sell better if they weren't all mixed up.

Ellie-Mae, I most certainly would and did recgonize your eBay handle! Instantly, in fact. Big grins it gave me; that's for sure.

There have been 4 people here in the threads whom I have recognized over at eBay.

Russ was happy to get another Rubics cube. He can solve it in less than two minutes (if the cube isn't too stiff).

I'll give you a hint, Christine . . . it wasn't "Ellie-Mae".

And fiddle. Ellie, please apologize to Russ for me. I send it to you and wrote the thank you note to you.

First he'll have to unsolve it so all the colors are the same on each side . . . THEN he can solve it.

Oh, and Ellie . . .
. . . you were right about them selling for more if the colors weren't all mixed up.

I had 6 Rubik's Cube that were mixed up. They sold for between $.99 - $4.30.

The one Rubik's Cube (and it's accompanying mini ice cube) sold for $6.50.

You far too kind.

I feel foolish for not automatically doing it.

LOL!

I didn't want to answer because I thought that should be Ellie-Mae's perogative, but I'm glad the mystery has been solved.

Aacckk!!!

Y'all, please click HERE and HERE.

I need y'all to read through the descriptions and to tell me how you interpret the "Specific to this Auction" blurb in each of them, please.

They're both going for some pretty hefty prices, and the bidding's not over yet. I need to make sure that people are understanding what I was trying to convey about both of those auctions.

And of all times to have a goofy typo in an auction. R2D2's auction has a typo in the measurement; and he (it) is the auction that is 2.25" high.

Sharon-Marie, I read both item descriptions. You were crystal-clear in what you were trying to convey. I see no room for misinterpretations.

There are toys in the C3PO case? That's the only thing I'm not clear about on that auction. Everything else seems to be clear.

Mandy, thank you for your time!

And thank you also for your post.

If it was just a few dollars, it wouldn't even concern me . . . but $30+ for a miniature figurine and $100+ for 42 toys in a marred-up carrying case (which the case itself is also considered a toy)?!

My word! LOL

I have a confession.
I'm the one that marred the case.

When I was packing up all the toy room in 2006, I didn't want to take a chance of the case opening and spilling toys inside a box . . . so I tried to apparently hermetically seal it with packing tape all the way around the case and then cross-taped it as well.

It wasn't until I started the project this past July that I realized what I had done . . . as I happily ripped off the first piece of tape and then in horror saw about a 2" piece of gold filming) come up with the tape.

I'm a collector's dream.

Hey Kimberly! The title of the auction says, "with 43 toys" and the "Specifics" note that as well (along with the toys measurements). There are also photos that depict all of the toys in the carrying case.

Do you see it now?

Since I'm imposing on y'all's time and intellects . . . would y'all also please go to THIS THREAD (over in eBay) and then tell me here, in this toy thread, your thoughts on how I might solve this?

Thank you!

Had I scrolled all the way down, I wouldn't have asked that question! LOL! Now I feel silly :P

I read your ebay thread, and I have no idea what the issue might be. It looks like you've already received great advice over there.

People are crazy with what they'll pay for stuff!

It's astonishing. I'll certainly take the money and thank Our Lord for it, it is quite amazing the things that people find valuable.

As to my thread over there, someone suggested that even though I don't have any blocks on anyone that I manually exempt that particular buyer from any blocks. So I did that and have sent a note to the buyer asking her to try to bid again. Hopefully, she'll be able to. I've very puzzled over that: I've sold to 3 different foreign countries (including the one where she lives) and I haven't encountered that problem prior to now.
