I've only bought a few things off of ebay. The most expensive item was $750. So far there has only been one transaction that I wasn't too happy with, and that was only for about $20, so it was easy to write off.

I don't remember, though I expect the S&H was reasonable. It was a used lithograph that was described as "needs a little cleaning". When it arrived there was a dribble of paint on it. That's more than "a little cleaning".

(mu-mu-mu-must have cof-cof-coffee! Look out! stagger toward cuppuchinator, make sure it is plugged in, *smack!* whoosh! pour, slap, replace decanter, carefully slurp) Aaahhhh! Anyone isolate their online purchases on a separae credit card with a self-imposed credit limit on it? This may be something worth doing- so you ain't waving around the big card numbers online. Just a thought. Ray, I was concerned when that picture of you went ogrish, or ogreish, or Shrekish, whatever. The picture of the champion grandson really hides your age better, or was that you as a tyke? Will the Mom let you get him a foam viking helmet yet? That's a stupid question (drinking more coffee). The last firefighting movie I remember seeing was Backdraft. Is anyone going to raid the theater to see this upcoming Fireproof movie? This can still be done for less than $10 a person in town.

Well, I got a big white screen when trying to run that link, and right clicking the screen said they'd show me more about Adobe Flash Player 9 if I wanted. I've got the Reader 8, but not their player. What I saw was something trying to load, and trying to load, and trying... . Oh well, maybe I'll just get one of those M&M faces that are so popular these days.

- Oh my, you have it worse than we do. So far I've been able to find it around 7 in the mornings.

I don't know if it's been talked about elsewhere. For all y'all wanting one of those cool little GPS units for the car, I heard another reminder that the best gadget for driving a vehicle is the human brain. The GPS unit said cross the railroad tracks. The guy listened to the GPS unit. Somehow his car didn't get across the tracks, but he did get out of the car... before the oncoming train took his car away. Well, he has no gas-hunting problems now, that's for sure. Somehow, though, he allowed technology to replace the thinking slow down! Look left, look right. Be ready to stop if there's an oncoming train. Do not trust your wonderful engine with your life (I wonder how electric ones will do on our bumpy roads, btw). This almost beats the encounter I had with Mr. Sleepy Logger Trucker on a residential road when he came up behind me, tooted his horn like I was driving 15 mph, then proceeded to pass me as we both drove 35, him in the shared turn lane on my left I had to get in to. Y'all be careful out there and remember having gas in the tank is only half the challenge. Has anyone had a locking gas cap stripped off their car and the gas stolen anyway? I'm considering securing that investment in my personal vehicle with some additional deterrent just because, and wondered if like everything else, sometimes a good lock would just make a fine mess. Cheers! OneJohn410

Actually, the passengers got out of the car. I heard that the driver was still looking at his GPS when the train hit. I'll bet he never does that again! Ouch!

Just pretend (as I don't have to) that you do not have a garage. Can someone that knows what to do just spin this locking cap right off your tank? Thanks.

The latest thing is that they just poke a hole in the bottom of your gas tank. I wouldn't bother with a lock.

You have to protect your catalytic converters, too. Thieves are ripping them off of cars so they can sell the platinum in them.
