Yep, the Westminster Confession would be my "standard." I agree with at least 98% of it. I agree with 100% of the Bible.

Hey Rynthetyn, I'm a fellow PCA'er.

Now John, Y'all dont want me to be assimilated and go into that robot thing again.
Shoot, I'm trying to assimilate y'all! But I know resistance is futile. Ask Jean Luc

Oh, Hoss. It's good to see you in here; always have me laughing.

I agree with those who said they would call themselves 'Reformed' but not use the term 'Calvinist' for the reasons of mis-representation among the non-Reformed ( ). I love the Heidelberg, but could have a few minor problems with the Larger WCF. I'll have to read through it when I get a chance; strangely enough, seminary doesn't allow me much time for learning whatever isn't "on tap" in class.

Six shooter? Phasers are so much better. As are AK-47s.

HMSP,

LOL... yes, please jump in-- at a certain point, I get sick of seeing so many of my own posts in a row... sort of like the feeling I get in a china shop .

Plus, I'm so frustrated that I can't get the dern chamber open to reload

Actually, it looks like I've gotten into an interesting discussion with a Catholic over in the 'receive Christ of believe in Christ' thread -- looks like I'm the only Reformer posting in dialogue with him (although I could just be too busy there to notice otherwise), and would appreciate a sharing of the load from anyone able. John, looks like I could end up being your Wyatt.

Blessings!

You get points when someone gives a favorable rating to your posts.

Mike.. yeah, sorry... in this brave new world (new forum), if someone doesn't post their name, I never know if maybe they are not wanting their name to be revealed...

Eddie... As for the points... think of them not as works of merit, but as rewards in heaven

OK, so how do you give ratings? I see all these smileys when I'm writing a post, but I don't see anything like that around the messages already posted.

Hey John SIH -- I see you found us.

Avatar? Look in "My Profile", but that is no guarantee. Mine wouldn't show so I gave up.

Tax day! I was so looking forward to the big federal refund until I did my state taxes which have enough due to wipe out the federal refund.

I found that you have to click "apply" (not just "ok") after your avatar is uploaded.... also, the button "upload my avatar..." needs to be selected.

On the bottom of each message is a little gizmo that says "rate post". This is how the scores are calculated. I think of it as an A-MEN button.

Cool, Eddie, I hadn't even noticed that. I've read a few folks commenting that they boosted someone else's Score, but I figured they were moderators or just yanking their chain. (Just gave you 2 for enlightening me!)

I also read that if someone reports you for a post, you get a ticket that you can go read. Funny.
