Neither do I.

They're trouble.

I'll have you all know that I had to run to the store after church to pick up a gift for my cousin's birthday party (which is today and I just found out last night ) but I did NOT go to Walmart. I went to Target. So there!

Methinks you are walking around with your very own station.

and it is portable.

I avoid shopping with anyone suffering flatuation. If they "poot", why do they have a tendency to turn around and stare at someone else like it is their fault?

Should we be offended then? Or is that another thread, too?

Going shopping this afternoon to buy our young adults some food care packages. Evidently they've been living on raman noodles and left overs from a birthday party. Ah, to be on your own and young.

My high schooler LOVES ramen. I told her not to over load on them during high school, because as a normal college kid, she will probably survive on them for about four years. There is plenty of time to get sick of them. You don't want to peak too early....

LoL,

When we left one of the bastions of ultimate grocery sinshopping (sam's club) we told the cashier that all this Heat-n-eat stuff was for our grown sons....and I mentioned, "you notice the lack of vegitables?".

A nice young college student worked in my wife's classroom one year. He ate macaroni and cheese every day. Not just out of economy, he just loved it.

When we asked him over for dinner and told him we would fix anything he wanted, he picked macaroni and cheese.

He is now a big time criminal lawyer.

Hmm, what are the legalities of buying mac and cheese at the land of conspicuous consumption while wearing a blue shirt? How do you think this chap feels about some free advice here? Is it still sinful if I change shirts to another color before I go into the store? What if I pass the gas station on the way out instead of on the way in? What if I am thinking about Christmas and Halloween on the way into the store but don't actually buy anything implying I take part in those traditions> is it still sinful?

And would I be offending my neighbor is the cashiers asks me "how are you doing" and I answer thusly, "do you really wanna know?"? And why was I asked for an i.d. to buy alcohol free wine but not for buying Nyquil?

I think I need to get off the computer and into the fresh air and sunshine and think about this stuff some more. L8R all.

Jumpin' in here with my two cents worth...

Buying groceries is only a sin if what you're buying would cause a weaker Christian to sin. For example, if someone doesn't eat chocolate because they feel that it's a sin and you go in and buy 20 bags of chocolate Halloween candy bar miniatures, then you might cause that poor soul to drool at the sight of all that chocolate and tempt her to buy some, thereby violating her own Christian values about obese women eating CHOCOLATE!

As for the blue shirt, as long as it doesn't offend a weaker Christian who believes that it's sinful for handsome, good-looking men to wear blue shirts, then it might be okay.

Passing gas stations is not a sin as long as you don't take your pet skunk with you. This one also reminds me of a little ditty my cousin told me:

You cook some beans,
and then you eat.
The more you eat,
The more you toot.
The more you toot,
The better you feel,
So let's eat beans
At every meal!

(Hope this last part was okay to post. If I'd offended someone, I apologize. I thought it was funny, though.)

Well I think we can all agree on the causing a weaker brother/sister to stumble. My issues is that some folks simply breathing can cause others to stumble. Should we outlaw Oxygen? is it a sin to breathe because your being you causes brother simon or sister louise to want to commit murder? or causes them to covet? or...

it is a catch 22 folks.

Next, the blue shirt thing- Handsome, tall, bald, blue eyed, military men, named Jerry in blue shirts cause me to stumble(cause I can't take my eyes offa him) and drool. Good thing I got a license huh.

Passing gas- try not to do it in polite company and as I don't often hang out in polite company I am SAFE!

if you pass gas while passing a gas station, will someone run out and change the price on the sign?

If they'd lower the price, I'd eat a whole pot of beans and be one my way...
