I am smiling because I am trying to choreograph our youth group's new human video and I

cannot figure out how we should do this one part and when I try to do this dance step for it I

keep falling down and making a fool of myself, but since no one is watching it is kind of funny!

If you all could have seen what I saw this morning you would be smiling big time. As I was driving to work and passing a big inland lake I looked out across and over in the horizon there was the moon. It was like a sunset but with the moon. And I know the moon doesn't change sizes but it appeared 5 times it's normal size and it was glowing with such beauty. And then of course it just complimented the beautiful colors of the trees all along the lake. It was one of the most breathtaking sights I've ever seen.

I know what you mean, but did not see it last night Veronica! It looks so huge when it is coming up "over" the big lakes. And this time of year it can have such a beautiful color! There is one road I often use when coming home, it lines right up with the lake and you can see the moon coming up fairly often. A couple times I have called a friend and said 'go outside and check out that moon!' lol.

When ever I see the moon, but especially when I see it during the day, it makes think of my oldest DS when he was about 2ish. He used to get so excited and yell "Des de moon-ay, Mom, des de moon-ay". That memory always makes me smile!

LOLOL des de moon-ay mom LOL how cute......no wonder it makes you smile....

I love watching the moon as well and yes I noticed how big it was coming up last night..........ours was not colorful but it was oh so very bright.......

The last two nights we have had dark clouds in our sky yet the moon is so bright you can see her through the darkness.........very cool for me.

Last night the dark clouds were very low and not too big but there were lots of them..........in the small spaces between them you could see glimpses of the sky and stars.........and the moon's brightness..........it was really beautiful.....

Each cloud formed a different shape which kept changing and the brightness of the moon was like an outline defining each shape as it transformed from one shape to another........it was just really really cool.

My favorite thing though and that which makes me smile is the moon setting..........because she is so bright and sets on my side of the house... she beams her bright light into my room early in the morning......the whole room lights up and i can see her beam across my bed...........

The last two nights I have sat up and watched her for a short time and talked to the Lord..............such pause moments in life........such moments of peace and comfort.

The moon makes me smile for sure.........

Oh you know what else I was thinking last night about the moon which makes me smile?

As I was coming home, around 1am from studying, the moon was so bright..... standing on my deck was almost like day yet with a softer more gentle feeling.....almost like a painter had taken his painting and put a soft glaze over it to make the colors and lines softer.......not so sharp........kinda like they did with the actress in "moonlighting"........how funny the show has the word moon in it and what the moon did was similar to what they did to her on that show LOLLOLOLOL

Any way as I was standing there looking at the moon enjoying the beauty created by her softening glow on the trees and cornfields............I thought wow God amazes me.....

You know why he amazes me? Besides the obvious? Because of His attention to detail..............

Way back in the beginning of earth God aligned the moon in a way, to function by certain laws, which placed the moon at her biggest and brightest during the days he knew, because of His laws of nature farmers would be working long hours, late into the night, to harvest their crops.

Isn't that just so cool........that even as God was forming the earth he was watching out for my next door neighbor who He knew in the year 2008 would be busy working in his fields late at night and would need some light to make the job easier.

The days get shorter in order for the harvest to ready but instead of leaving us in the dark to do the picking he sends us a bright light to show us the way............hmmmmmmmm wonder if this truth is can be applied somewhere else as well? LOLOLOL

God amazes me and always makes me smile.

Joy, I love the birthday party story ... so very cute! What a big heart Sky has

I love the comparison of the beautiful changing leaves with the people God chooses for our lives. I have found this in my life too ... just like a forest full of beautiful trees changing colors, there is so much in life to experience ... all we need to do is look around and keep our eyes open ... God provides us with so very much.

Yes, Hot-N-Saucy! I love those evergreens! They are steady and reliable.

I had the biggest smile yesterday as I was walking in the evening. The sun was setting, peeking out from the cloud cover on the horizon - it was glowing red ... and on the other side of the sky, the big full moon was rising in it's glory! It was so amazing ... God's artwork in the setting sun in the western sky and His glory in the rising moon in the eastern sky ... the most beautiful visual that will always stay in my mind ............

I'm smiling because I have a wonderful mom who lets me spew out all my emotional turmoil over the phone, cry, complain, and who gives me good advice and builds me up when I'm down. I feel a lot better now.

I am smiling because when I got up this morning I was feeling pretty low. I kept feeling like God wanted me to be able to surrender my dreams and desires for marriage to Him (I've been wrestling with this) - and I felt like I couldn't do it, though I wanted to. So, I got still before the Lord ... and waited on Him.

There is a Richard Smallwood song that says:

"Jesus, you're the center of my joy.
All that's good and perfect comes from you.
You're the heart of my contentment, hope for all I do.
Jesus, you're the center of my joy."

This song really touched my spirit today. When I waited on the Lord, He reminded me that - this discontentment and dryness that I was experiencing for the past couple of days (and that I used to experience on a regular basis - for longer stretches of time) would always be there if I didn't choose the Lord. The reason is because no matter what we get - whether it is a spouse, children, a new job, etc. eventually it gets old - we get used to it - it doesn't satisfy. It wasn't designed to. But only Jesus can satisfy long term. So He is the center of my joy and the heart of my contentment. Joy, peace, and contentment come only from Christ. So, this was the secret of being able to say "yes" to whatever the Lord asks. I don't believe that God will have me stay single for the rest of my life; but regardless - it is better to have the Lord and be content (although sad that I have no kids or husband) - than it would be to have kids and a husband - but not have the Lord.

I also got a chance to sing today - and that is ALWAYS a blessing!

Smiling for Veronica getting her keys today!

Thanks rgod, I was also reminded me that Jesus is to be the center of our Joy through your words. I needed to hear it today. And that does make me smile.

Yeah Veronica.........keys in hand and tomorrow you move........and it is suppose to be a beautiful day...........not too hot, not to cold and full of sunshine.

hsgma you are always so kind and encouraging to me........thank you.

Terri what kind of surprise might that be?

rgod thank you for sharing.........it was powerful reading it second hand.............

All these things make me smile.

I have a smile to share as well.

Last night I was at a dinner, spending time with two people, when the topic turned to the Lord. We talked about our thoughts and beliefs on different things....... what I don't really remember.

Near our table was a huge table of probably 20 or more high school age kids.

I was so engrossed in the discussion we were having that I did not really notice the table of teenagers even when they got up to leave.

During a pause in our discussion we noticed there were two young ladies standing by our table, one closer then the other, and she seemed to want to ask us something.

I smiled at her in order to encourage her question.

She asked me........."Do you teach a bible study?"

"Not really but I am in a prayer group."

She asked, "May I come?"

I was wow........she had been listening to our conversation and something about what we were talking about drew her and made her hungry for more..........

We exchanged contact information and I am going to write her.

I am not sure what God wants me to do. I do not feel like my prayer group is really where God is leading since she said and my spirit seems to be saying she really wants a "bible" study..........she wants to spend time in the Word.

It was a really cool experience and I am very excited to see where God leads.......

Right now I am leaning towards offering to meet with her and any friends she wants to invite once a week............I will pray about it more and make sure this is what God wants.

But you want to know what makes me really smile through what God did?

When I was driving to the dinner and before I got out of my car I prayed.........I felt very heavy in my spirit that this appointment was not just about meeting someone for dinner but God had something very important he wanted to do and say...........what I did not know .............BUT I did know without a doubt that I needed to pray God would lead the conversation and what He wanted to be said and done would be........

After the fact I have a clearer picture of what he was doing and saying........and I can see how powerfully he was moving...........

One led to God bringing a young lady and myself together...........the other I will continue to pray God's voice, through the discussion, will be heard.

I'm smiling because joy2give2u might be about to embark on something new ... and that regardless of how the Lord leads, it is going to be blessed.
I'm smiling because Terri got a surprise (ok Terri - we are dying from the suspense. What "iz" it?"?)
I'm smiling because both HotSaucy and JesusChick are also smiling!
I'm smiling because God sent someone to bless wfisaac.

I'm smiling because right now I'm listening to a man preach about unity in the body of Christ. He is speaking in spanish with an english translator. It is wonderfully powerful! He's challenging division in the church - among races, cultures, even within races and cultures. It is so powerful and beautiful and uplifting. The spirit is so strong in that church. I have no idea where it is, but I want to visit!

I'm smiling because I had a chance to speak with someone about their missions trip yesterday. It blessed me so much to hear. I'm smiling because the hunger is back for me to follow the Lord wherever he leads me - and the time of dryness is over!
