Phoning a family that is having difficulties just to see how they are and to let them know you care. Stand outside of your local hospital and watch to see how many people come out, usually elderly, in wheelchairs. Help them get their things in the car. I did this once and saw several nurses walk past an elderly woman struggling to get her husbands wheelchair in her trunk. It broke my heart!! But the look on both of their faces when I put my things down and offered to put the wheelchair in the car, they were genuinly thankful. This one is for the tall peeps out there haha! I'm 5'9 and I see people all the time in the stores struggling to reach something on the top shelf. Use your enormous length to reach it for them haha. Volunteer at your local pregnancy center, food bank, etc. Ask your church if theres a family that could use a food basket. Times are tough, prices are high and all too often these people are getting overlooked :( Volunteer to watch your neighbors children for the evening so they can go on a date. Send a 'thinking of you' card- just for fun. For a lot more fun add a ton of glitter. Ok so thats more fun for the person who added it, not so much for the person who gets it dumped all over them. :D Mentor!!! Mentors have such a huge impact on peoples lives. I had an amazing mentor and he helped me sooooo much! Young people need a good role model whether they admit it or not. Sometimes we like to think we have it all figured out, we don't. Offer your time to them, the fruits of your labor will go on long long past your lifespan and theirs. When the cashier is really nice to you make sure the manager knows. We're all too quick to complain when the cashier is rude but we generally don't think to mention their name to the manager when they've been exceptional. My friend and I used to enjoy going walking during the days and finding someone outside. Do something crazy and ask them if theres anything you can do for them. It's so much fun!! Most people will give you an odd look but will let you help them with something. Usually they wanted us to do yard work. It's such a fun time and really isn't work at all. Not busy on trash day? Walk up your street or your block and take everyones trash cans and recycle bins to their front door. Oh I could go on forever. These are just some of the things that I enjoy doing and I think others would enjoy as well.

Today I had the opportunity to sit and bless (and sincerely mean all of it) people who have done evil to me. These individuals have not repented of their wrongdoing. One is leading a church. But the joy of the Lord was in me and with me and overflowed to them. I'm the vessel. He's the joyful flow. Blessed and thankful, LL

Every time I go for groceries, I pick up a couple of non perishable items for our food banks. Whenever I see a child, I make sure to give him/her a smile to instill to them that the world is a friendly place. They'll find out the bad stuff later. WHen I see an elderly who's alone, I make sure I acknowledge them and talk to them. I believe they are the loneliest people in the world and any smile makes them feel less alone. THe homeless has always had a soft spot in my heart. Offer to buy them coffee or a meal whether they ask you or not. Smile and talk to the grocery clerks, waitresses, and do something to brighten their day. Here's one thing I've done a few times but not sure if it's actually good to do it. There are times I've buy coffee from a drive through and I pay for the order of the person behind me. But I never know if the cashier is pocketing the money or actually not charging the person behind me. Serve in a soup kitchen/homeless shelter Donate or collect winter clothing for the homeless. Deliver food hampers during Christmas I've done most of them at one time or another, and I believe that this is theLord's callign in my life to serve in this capacity. Always do something to make someone's day a little brighter. Service is what we do with our life, not just a few hours on Sunday.

I hate doing paperwork, but every Monday I organize the musicians' books for our church. It's not hard but it is quite tedious. It takes a huge load off the worship pastor, though, and I feel like I contributed something extra when the music reaches people's hearts.

Blessed and thankful, LL The Lord likewise brought me to this point today regarding a missionary (who is held in very high esteem within the missionary establishment he works for) and who likewise hurt me badly through mistreatment. The Lord showed me that they did not do what they did out of spite or badness but our of immaturity at the time. This was a hurt I was carrying around for the past 17 years. Therefore, it was lovely to log on and find that the Lord has been dealing with both our hearts in the same kind of way today LL. Praise God for His Omnipresence.

My husband buys an extra fast food meal and will pass it out the window to a bum in need. he is a driver and frequents downtown Seattle often.. He also gives them part of his lunch that he brings from home. I try to ask the grocery checkers how thier day is going instead of them asking me because I know that is part of thier job to do. I hold doors open and try to be nice to phone solictors before I hang up on them...

Good suggestions so far. I will just add; (Luk 6:46) And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Thanks RC
