Are there any science teachers here? What do you teach in the science classroom? If you teach at a Christian school or a parochial school, is the subject matter any different from that taught in the public school science classroom?

Although I was an education major for two years, I'm not a teacher. I thought I'd tell you though that I had a science teacher once that was very vocal about her Christianity as long as I can remember. When it came time to teach evolution (it's a state, and I believe national, standard) she pulled out the book, read verbatim what the chapter said, rolled her eyes, closed the book, and said, "But of course we all know that's garbage." I heard that she later got in trouble when a parent complained, but I'll never forget her. She was amazing.

Yes, Robin, your teacher does sound amazing. It is sometimes difficult to speak up for what is right when you're in the minority. But, thank God, there are teachers like yours who are not afraid to do so. Lynn
