It seems the underground comedian (a.k.a. "Dolemite") who credits himself for pioneering rap music has died from complications of diabetes...

(I do wonder how many of Crosswalk's posters have heard Rudy's routine...). Rudy Ray Moore was played many years ago in my house. I don't remember much (probably a good thing), but a signifying monkey, and a fair amount of racy -- to put it lightly -- language. Never saw any of the movies. I do hope that he was right with the Lord before he passed on.
