Hey,
I am needing to know what Cathedral LPs/CDs these 2 songs are on. My pastor and his 3 sons have (in the past) done a lip-sync version of these, along with The Gaither's "Lo Down The Chariot", and they are wanting to do it again this weekend at a Fall Festival at our church, but we're having trouble locating the 2 Cathedral songs. I have the GVB CD, but really need the 2 Cat's songs... Ideas? HELP!!

They are both on Radio Days (1996); live versions are both on Live! Deep in the Heart of Texas (1997).

I was glad to help. Actually, since you're one of the people I really look up to here on the boards as knowing quite a bit and then some, I was a little surprised that you didn't already know it. I just had to reach over to my CD rack and double-check my memory.

Thanks for the complement! That really means alot coming from you.

For some reason, I quit trying to get 'every' Cat CD that came out during those last few years. Seemed like their record companies were re-releasing SO much material - and SO many tunes were on the same discs - that apparently, I let some of the 'mainline' recordings slip by. Wish I had this one! Can't believe I don't have it!!!!

Radio Days is one of my favorite albums by the Cathedrals... right under Something Special. I even have the music book to it (somewhere)...

RIde that Train is also on their farewell concert. To see Glen sing it and get into it during that song.....wow! Very few could do it.

I like the way the Browns do 'Ride That Glory Train'. They are one of the most recent groups I've heard to the song.

Are you talking about A Farewell Celebration that was produced by Bill Gaither and was originally aired on the Nashville Network, or a different project? I have the CD and the DVD for A Farewell Celebration and Ride That Glory Train is not on it.

No, I was wrong....that is the wrong project.

They did a live video that was based on their last project. It was done at the Nazarene church in Denver Colorado.

George missed 2 out of three dates while they were there due to health problems and to see Glen do ride that Glory train was awesome!

Live in Denver...that is my all-time favorite Cathedrals video. I liked it better than Farewell Celebration, mainly because it was just the Cathedrals and not other singers. I think they opened Denver up with "Echoes From the Burning Bush" if I remember correctly.

I found a few places online that claimed to have these songs available as "downloadable", but when I tried to buy them, they showed as 'not available'. ARGH! Went to several bookstores that i thought might have some 'old stock', but had no luck. Oh, well. I tried.

I've seen the Radio Days CD on ebay several times. You might be able to get it that way. I think I bought mine through Amazon so you might want to try that avenue as well.

Thanks, guys & gals! I received an 'anonymous' Special Delivery email that helped our cause. You all are a great bunch of friends.

Oh, yeah... Foster just called and said she found one of the songs on a CD in her collection. That girl.... She's been holding out on me...

The Old Paths also recorded 'Echoes From The Burning Bush'. It is on their Journey Down the Old Path - Disc 2 and newest CD 'Live from Pigeon Forge'. This song has Brandon Barry singing the bass on it.

You're welcome!

Of all their mainline projects from their last 5 years or so, I think Radio Days would have to head the must-have list.

I have it on cassette tape. "Radio Days was one of my favorite Cathedral projects. I love George's bass singing on "Echoes". If I am not mistaken, "I've Been With Jesus" is also on that project, which is another one of my favorites.
