Hey, everyone. Just wanted to pass along some good info. I have a stack of phone books that I didn't want to throw away, so I did a little research and went to my phone company's website, and they have a list of places that accept phone books for recycling. The place in my area is Keep <my county> Beautiful -- many communities have these.

Also, since phone books are becoming obsolete, there is a place to opt-out of receiving them. Try www.YellowPagesGoesGreen.org (it's under "join us").

I recycle mine right along with the newspapers and magazines. That's what the city told us to do with them.

Some communities might not have that. I don't get newspapers and pass along magazines through freecycle.
