I had posted some famous quotes on the sharepoint site that I manage at work and thought to myself... I can do that. So, today I spent a few minutes thinking and this spilled out. It was kind of fun and I thought maybe some of you could try to make some quotes of your own.

I don't think any of mine match any other that I have read so please keep these strictly your own and not get into those that you like from famous folk. Oh, Don't hurt yourself!

Also, if you guys don't contribute then I'll just keep posting my spur of the moment junk so let this be an incentive.

I can't be everywhere at once but I know someone who can.

If I could tell you one thing and you would listen, I would tell you that the reason for everything that exists or has ever existed is Jesus.

We are more connected to each other than you know.

I hate my past but would not be me without it.

I would be scared to death if I did not believe with all my heart that I will be with God for all eternity.

Life experiences have a way of changing your previous perspectives. If you did not have previous perspectives or experiences have not caused you to change them, you need to do some more living.

If you treat me wrong then I will pretend that I can see your nekid ugly body.

I'm not going to use or proclaim OMG until I see Him.

If you think that you can expect/predict that something incidental is going to happen before it does... then you haven't had a teenager.

If you tell someone that you LOVE them, you better be ready to back it up.

If you are married, then it should be understood that your spouse is your best friend above and beyond your mother, your child, or the dog.

If I go through just one day without laughing... I better get on my knees because something is very wrong.

If I go through one day without counting my blessings, then my priorities or messed up.

If you do not see the beauty in the simple things of life, then you are going to fast and if you don't slow down, eventually old age will slow you and then it may be too late.

I argued with myself the other day and won. It was a good feeling being married and all.

My wife once told me... "you are right!" and I fainted.

Jesus has been mis-quoted more than anyone else on earth.

If Jesus was here right now He would sue you for slander.

Do you really know Jesus or have you just read about Him?

If Jesus is your friend, how come you're so bad?

I came up with these for leadership meetings:

"Titles should give us a sense of responsibity;
not the perception of elevated nobility."

"Leadership is the opportunity to lead others to discover their possibilities and potential;
It is not the opportunity to lord over your own personal slave market."

Said to a co-worker complaining about the door being open and the temperature dropping to 72...

" If you are cold, you aren't working hard enough. "

Its what my dad said to us when working outside on the farm during the winter.

In fifth grade after learning about the nervous system I said on the bus,

"No pain, no brain"

Three times I have said,

" The Giants have won the Super Bowl, the Giants have won the Super Bowl, the Giants have won the Super Bowl!!! "

After being rebuked by my boss at work for my behavior, him knowing I am a christian,

"I know God, I am not God"

As a young Christian, I thought that I was missing out so I did an about face. God did an about face and let me fall on my... rear end. What I learned... how to fall on my face before Him.

A well worn marked in bible does not impress me. I'm impressed with someone that I know very well who has done a good deed and I had to learn about it from another source.

If I walked a mile in your shoes would I have to wear that atrocious skirt?

I will continue to smile at you every day even though it is not reciprocated because one day you may need to trust me... and you will.

NASA found ice in a scoop of Martian dirt today and next they expect to find signs of life but the robot arm ran out of gas and now we will never know.

I remember when a gallon of gas was a quarter, a Coke was a dime, no one locked doors to house or car, and momma let us ride our bikes miles away from home. Oh well, guess I'll put a buck in the vending machine and buy a bottled water and remember the hard times later.

"Yabutt and Costello don't live here, you do!"
(said to my two oldest while arguing back with me... "yeah, but.. yeah, but...")

"I'm so far out of the loop, I can't see the knot anymore."
(said by my husband when reflecting)

I can't tell you why He allows us to get so far down in the pit...
maybe because then, the only daylight we see is when we look up and see the SON.

To my seeker friend who has spent zillions of dollars and countless hours in secular counseling...

"You have spent so much time looking within yourself for the truth-- if it were there, don't you think you would have found it by now?"

(edited because I can't spell!)

- I don't believe in Bible bingo! You need a regular Bible reading plan.

- Words can either build us up or break us down.

- Come apart and rest a while or you may just come apart!

Sometimes going through hard things isn't about you, it's about other people.

If you have the propensity to be stubborn, make sure you use it for things that matter.

I'm a firm believer in second chances, ....third, fourth...give people the chance to do better the next time.

Don't take everything personal.

Persecution is not self-inflicted.

Victimhood is never edifying.

When I asked Jesus how much He loved me. He said: This much. Then He spread out his arms and died.

I love a good conundrum!!

a boss once said this to me:
"if I wanted you to be happy, I would run out and buy you a cheesecake or something"

I came to the conclusion many years ago that I did not have a talent for making money and would never be rich so I did not persue wealth and things. Later, the reality hit me that the truly rich folks have nothing. Therefore, I am truly rich!

If I sensed that for whatever reason, you did not like me, I used to take it personally. Now, I see it as your loss because finding a reason not to find something that you like in another person, is a flaw.

I reached out and you withdrew. I left you alone, you got mad.

I've heard it said that God does not need our help... well, ok! I'm going to help Him anyway because everything that I do is for Him.

I often can see your thoughts through a lighted screen.

You were made to love me... you just don't know it yet. (A good thing to say to someone who treats you bad)

I am at a loss to understand why my teenie bopper daughter drops everything that she picks up and can never find something that she just had moments ago.

I was absolutely shocked recently while helping to plan my moms funeral. After we finished planning the funeral director shook my hand and it was cold as ice. It gave me pause!

Life is like a tater. There is lots you can do with it.
