Have you ever stopped doing something wrong just because you knew it was wrong, but not necessarily because you were convicted about it?

Yes, biting my fingernails. Now I clip them with nail clippers. "To him that know to obey and fails to act in the light of that knowledge, to him it is arrogance against the blood of Christ."(James 4:17)

Hmmm. I think if you know something is wrong and if you know you do it, then you're automatically convicted about it by definition.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 They are teaching tots in awana's class this simple verse. It comes to mind after reading your post. IMHO, I think good deeds not done, love not given, would fall under falling short of the glory of God. quote:

Yes Popsi, I know I am off subject but, I have learned so much from sitting in a cubbies class. When teaching this verse they explained sin as something that would get you a time out. I thought we could learn a lesson from the tots re: how quickly they named off their sins, hitting, yelling, taking to much candy. It was cute.
