is there any others out there that believe obama will be a key runner in the end times ? all the prophecys have been fulfilled like the knowledge boost and sattelite TV all over the world . i forgot what verses they were though but yeah i think we could be looking at the end of days . Well im gonna get raptured but it still hurts my heart to think of how terrible life will be in those times . but god is in control of everything

Not any more than anything else that is against the heart of the Lord I guess... but that being said, I am always surprised whenever I discover a Christian is voting for a person who upholds things like abortion. Do we really want a person in office who is unable to decern that abortion is wrong? Some Christians do.

Do we really want a person in office who is unable to decern that abortion is wrong? Some Christians do. Not all Christians believe that abortion is wrong. I agree that its wrong, but there was a thread in Morality and Ethics about Christians who are pro-choice (I'll try to find it if you want). I also believe that capital punishment (the death penalty) is wrong, and it amazes me that we'll vote for someone who is in favor of that. The fact of the matter is this... there are a LOT of issues at stake, here. Not just abortion (and I GARUNTEE you, as soon as the election is done, you'll hardly hear anything more about this issue from Washington, D.C. for four years... just like with Bush... just like with Clinton.... just like with Bush, Sr. ). There are two wars we're involved in. There's an economy that's in the toilet. Our education system is hurting from a bogus policy called "No Child Left Behind." This country's spending is out of control. Jobs are going over-seas. The envorionment. Electricity. Gay Marriage. Threats of terrorism. Health insurance is a mess (I could tell you stories, my friend....). EVERYTHING is on the table. And people are voting for more than just an issue like abortion. Look, with God as my witness, I'm not trying to poke at you this time. I swear to it. I voted Obama, and personally its because the last two times I voted, I voted for George W. Bush. And I voted strictly on the issue of abortion, believing the people at my church that this guy was going to get rid of abortion. He was going to get to nominate two Supreme Court Justices and he would be the one who would get rid of Roe vs Wade. I remember him saying that he was going to be the man to do this, even. When it was all said and done, he never did it. He buckled down and nominated guys for whom this was a minor issue. And I promised myself that i would never vote based on that again. If you believe that McCain is the answer to this country's problems, and that's how you voted, then God bless you. If you voted strictly based on this one issue, then I hope you're right. You've got more faith than I do ... maybe in God, maybe in the people in charge.... I don't know. My opinion is that this is a sham issue. Maybe I'll finally be wrong. I don't know where I'm going with all of this, but let me sum it up with this: There's a LOT more at stake, here, than just abortion. Not everyone is going to win, no matter who is elected.... unless EVERYONE comes together to try and make this country work once someone is decided upon for President. Be it McCain or Obama. And if Obama screws up more stuff than he fixes, we'll have four years to push him out (No, to answer the O.P.'s question, I do NOT believe that Obama is the antichrist or a sign of the end of times; I think he's a human being who's trying to run for President, and I believe that he really is a Christian, at that). But instead of dividing on issues or basing our thoughts on only one issue, its time we all united on the issues we DO agree about and fix what we can. Otherwise, this nation is in for a world of hurt, because we can't handle four more years like the last eight (and dare I even say, the last 16), no matter who's running the show.

Well in all honesty, God is running the show, He is allowing things to happen for reasons that we dont know, but I do know this, I fear nothing, because I know God controls all.

Exactly. Which is why I don't fear an Obama or McCain Presidency.

Our vote does not matter anymore, especially when one judge can knock out the vote of millions. I voted for McCain, btw.
