Anyone watching? Looks like they're getting close to a real Superman thing. Wonder what's going to happen with Lex Luther. My hubby and I wonder if he'll have amnesia and not remember that Clark is an alien. When he emerges...he'll be meaner than ever.

Dunno. Since Rosenbaum quit the show who knows if the character will be back or not.

I am not sure I like the woman who replaced him. With Clark at the Planet working next to Lois, most of the pieces are in place to transition to Superman. All we need is Perry White.....

So far, I'm loving this season

NO LANA!!!!!!!! at least for now

And Clark is starting to deal with his destiny and such

And I saw a preview where he has on glasses - how funny is that!

who is this new guy, the paramedic dude? is he some superhero in disguise? what about Jimmy and Chloe? She sure is making googoo eyes at this new guy but isn't she engaged to Jimmy?

So very very true.

I literally laughed out loud at a couple of points in the season opener. When Lois called Ollie "The Man of Tomorrow" I chuckled a little, but when she said she couldn't date a guy with a hero complex, I just couldn't hold it in. I love the in-gags like that. Personally, I'd like to see Green Arrow and Clark (or, better yet, Green Lantern) on a road trip and referred to as "Hard Traveling Heroes". It'd also be fun to hear Clark called "Big Blue". I wonder if anyone has done a list of all the references. I imagine they've already done a "stronger than a locomotive" reference, as well as "leaping tall buildings".

I've heard some rumors.

***MASSIVE SPOILERS****

Rumors say that he's Doomsday. I'm not sure if that means he'll kill Clark.

***END MASSIVE SPOILERS***

about that spoiler

ohhhh....yep, that would end the season

I just love and laugh at some of the comic-book things Lois says to Clark just in conversation.

Not sure I like the whole Jor-El Brainiac thing, too much different from the classic Kryptonian time line. (with Kandor being lifted from Krypton a generation before it blew)

And what ever happened to Kara?

I was wondering the same thing.

I thought Kara went to another planet or another time, similar to what happened in the comic

maybe?

Wasn't she trapped in the Phantom Zone by Brainiac?

Top characters from the comics I want to show up in Smallville:

1. Bibbo Bibbowski (Sadly, he's already been robbed of his bar, the Ace O' Clubs.)
2. Lobo
3. Guardian
4. Vandal Savage (I refuse to accept the stupid idiot played by Dean Cain as a villain who has ruled empires)
5. Gangbuster

last, but not least...

6. Turtle Boy, Elastic Lad, Wonder Lad, The Human Skyscraper, The Human Flame Thrower, etc.... all AKA Jimmy Olsen. I find it incredibly odd, that as many characters have been revealed to have super powers, that Jimmy isn't one of them. He was even a werewolf once, for goodness sake!

Yes Kara is in the Phantom Zone. She will be back for an episode or two then that's it for now. I guess she goes off and lives somewhere else. Wasn't her secret identity Linda Danvers?

Yes - Linda Lee was her first secret identity, and that character was later adopted by the Danvers family.

I would like to see Green Lantern show up on the series.

Lex will be in an episode or 2, Lana Im not sure, and the paramedic is sited to become Doomsday (a creature in the comics that supposidly killed Supe's only to have the sun regenerate him. If they are smart this will be the last season not much more they can go. I just wish they had an episode with a young Bruce Wayne, before Bat Man

Lana is to appear for 4 or 5 episodes starting in late November. Go to kyptonsite.com and check the spoilers.

I am surprised no one commented on last night's ep. Especially Lois' statement while hooked up to the lie detector.

And why did she NOT question how Clark got out of that electric chair?

I figured there would be some way to explain all that away cause it's too soon for Lois to fall for Clark...considering she never did, Lois fell for Superman but that really doesn't matter here I guess.

Yeah, I thought for sure she'd say something about him exploding everything, but then he just headbutted the guy and did his thing...however, I think the smoke from the explosion hindered her seeing too much that her brain couldn't understand.

The end in the elevator was great...especially the look on Clark's face when Lois commented on where would they be if HE was the one who had to answer the question.

Yeah - that elevator scene was well done.

I do have to agree with my son who says Smallville is becoming a soap opera.

I think they should either give up and become a Superman series, or do the Justice League thing for a season or two. That way you get multiple super heroes in one show. By the way, Perry White was in an episode several years back.

Yep, and he was played by "Lenny" from the duo "Lenny and Sqiggy" from the TV show Lavern and Shirley. Every time I see him on various things, that is what I always think of. He will ALWAYS be Lenny.

Perhaps he will forever become Perry White. Last night Clark had to deal more with who he's going to become. And, in the previews for next week...was that Clark on the building in the cape, or is it someone else? Have to wait a whole week to find out!

THe whole story line last night was to force him into the secret identity thing. Of course in the comics, he had the secret identity and the costume in high school.

I believe next week Jimmy snaps a picture of him saving someone. Lois, maybe?

That is what the preview showed. It made it look like we will see him in the cape on the roof too. But some how I doubt it. Just like we were made to believe we'd see him fly a while back and it didn't happen.

I had a feeling it wasn't Clark. But, his comment about never in this lifetime would he wear that red cape was a hoot. CHLOE!???! Is this the beginning of the end of her character?
