Okay, I know NQC 2008 just ended last night but I was wondering who plans to attend NQC 2009? As soon as the official dates for it are announced, I will be putting in for vacation time so my son and I can go for the entire week.
Just out of curiosity, which hotel is closest to Freedom Hall? That's where I want to be.

Probably The Executive Inn , right near the main gate. Also , was the Executive West, but they are changing that one to the Crowne Plaza Hotel , its under construction right now, it won't be called Ex.West after the renovation.

I had planned on going this year but by March I knew that wasn't going to happen. So...unless something catastrophic happens in the next year I'm planning to be there.

The Executive Inn will NOT be there next year as the KY State Fair Board plans on tearing it down. The Executive West will be Crowne Plaza and rates will shoot up quite a bit. Many hotels motels within walking distance of Freedom Hall and prices vary

NQC DATES FOR 2009.....SEPTEMBER 14 - 19 WITH PRE CONVENTION CONCERT ON SUNDAY EVENING SEPTEMBER 13. As stated there are many hotels in the area. NQC already has several of them blocked, but you can find others in the area, if you are driving you can get much cheaper rates 10 -15 minutes away.

Any idea when NQC will start selling tickets? And any idea on prices? I want to get the deluxe package so we can see everything.

You could purchase tickets at this years event for next year. Don't know exactly when they will have them available on their web site for next year. Tickets are $28.00 a night next year, up a dollar from this year. Don't know what Showcase tickets will be as they don't usually sell them until they place them on the website. Parking was also up this year to $6.00 a day or $54.00 for a 6 day in/out pass, $27.00 for Thur-Sat in/out pass. You cannot but parking passes in advance.

My uncle lives in Elezabethtown KY, about 20 miles from NQC, so I could stay with him, but its still too far and too much money.

Does anyone know why the Singing Cookes have not been to NQC the last few years? I know they still travel full time and have a lot of dates!

Baby and I didn't make it to NQC on Friday night, she was running a low grade temp. She is teething and also had some congestion. We stayed at the room.
I hated we didn't make it over! We had her a pretty dress to wear and everything.

I finally got to Meet DeeAnn, and I got to see Diana. I still haven't met Donna. One of these days. Santa introduced me to Sonya; and I saw Daniel and David Bruce Murray, but didn't get to talk to them.

I'm just looking forward to finally being able to attend NQC next year. I've wanted to go for years but haven't been able to. I already talked to my boss and he said I will be able to take vacation that week since I am asking for it so early.
