Christmas Shopping...Love it or Hate It? I love it,especially if I know what everyone wants. It can be frustrating otherwise.

The commercialization of this holiday has gone beyond belief. It's all about what "goods" you can get or what "goods" you can give to look good in the recipient's eyes. I mean be real, look at the commercials on television! Who's giving a $50,000 car for a present anyway?

My grand daughter is seven. She has a very short wish list. She also realizes that it is not at all about the presents, it is about Christ. We would all do well to remember that.

Put me down as really disliking Christmas shopping. A real strong dislike.

I love it. But I just love shopping anyway.

LOL. Oh my gosh, that is funny.

I used to enjoy shopping at our small local walmart, because there was a few isles where always found the perfect gifts for cetain people. But now we have to supercenter walmarts here, which arent as nice as that little cozy one we had. Nor do I find those perfect christmas gift items either. Unless I hike two miles back and forth, i might find them. Otherwise, i dont mind it.

I would almost take a beating than to go shopping for anything, so I know you can list me in the "Hate" column

Blech blech blech

I will be avoiding Costco and the mall as much as possible. I get anxiety attacks in large crowds and blinky blink lights give me headaches.

I'm not one who loves shopping, but I do enjoy picking gifts for people I love. So, regular shopping is not fun, but Christmas shopping is a lot of fun!

I still do most of it online now though. Saves time, money, and my patience!

Neither.

I don't do Christmas Shopping.

I'd rather buy birthday gifts and spontaneous gifts throughout the year.

I do try to avoid shopping of any kind during the Christmas buying season.

I don't mind it as long as I can do it throughout the year. Waiting until the end of the year does NOT make me a happy girl. I have anxiety attacks around crowds and when I feel pressured. I don't spend thousands of dollars on Christmas gifts as I don't have that kind of money for starters. I do like giving gifts to those I love though. This year, I'm making some of my gifts or spending time doing them so it's not going to be some commercial holiday. As Ben said, it's about Christ.

I don't mind and try to spread it out. I shop within my budget and enjoy finding cool gifts for those I love. So many of my family enjoy crafty type gifts that I can get a lot of gifts at A.C. Moore (a craft store) and they put 40% off coupons in their sale ad every week. I get my ds K'nex a lot cheaper there than at Walmart, etc.

I dislike it so much I do all my christmas shopping online, and avoid going out at all during the holidays! People want to get themselves and their neighbors killed with their crazy driving

I enjoyed it more when money wasn't so tight. Now it's not so fun. I do some on-line and I do some in town. I stay far away from malls. I think it's not so much the shopping...but the crowds and traffic that I don't like.

I'm sure there's a long, latin-based name for this disease of Christmas shopping throughout the year. My oldest sister suffers from it, too.

I love getting gifts for people, the only drawback the holidays bring for me are when I have absolutely no idea what to get a person.

The only time I like gift shopping is if I have something specific in mind. I don't wander around a mall hoping to be inspired.

If you can get into a wal-mart in the middle of the night and no ones beating you in the head fighting for the last toy or piece of clothes then i enjoy going but if you try to get something and put it in your buggy and then some old lady takes it out and you can't catch her (true story by the way) then no I don't like it.

I gotta say, I'm way into all things Christmas, including shopping. Some people think it's stressful, but only if you make it that way. You could shop online if you don't like the crowds, but i love the holiday rushing around. Call me weird if you want..... i probably wouldn't be able to deny it anyway!

I love it when money is plentiful or at least adequate. Not much fun this year with the very tight budget.

I went to the mall last night to look for stocking stuffers for DH. I had so much fun looking at all the cool things he'd like as regular gifts.

I gotta say, I love shopping ... for anyone and any occasion. I miss doing Christmas shopping the way I used to. But our current financial situation dictates that we shop the way we currently do.
