Good monday morning, everyone . . . hope you all had a good weekend. We did here . . temps are falling tho, and winter is trying to raise it's nasty head. 33º right now -- hey, I just learned to make º this morning -- isn't that cool!

I was so busy Saturday, but it was a good busy -- 4 customers came by -- 3 to pick stuff up (meaning $$ in my pocket!) and one new lady to drop stuff off. It's cool meeting new people like this . . I've been blessed to have very friendly customers. In among greeting customers, I made a pot of chili and baked an apple cake for our friends who came over for cards Saturday night.

I'm continuing to feel so much better, less pain, more energy. I've already been to the gym this morning and it feels so good to be able to get thru my workout without groaning with every movement . . I'm going to try to get back to a 3X a week schedule instead of the 2X I've been doing. Oh! -- my driver's side window wouldn't roll up this morning after I went thru McD's drivethru to get my coffee!! Don't you know that 33º felt mighty cold coming in that window for the 2 mile drive home . . . . I'm so glad Garrett's daddy is a mechanic! . . . I've already talked to him, and I'll take my car in later today if he can locate a power window motor for it. Now I need to take my shower, but will have to get Garrett settled in front of the TV first -- he's here now

Glad you're feeling better! Good morning all! It's a chilly autumn day in New England. I'm still sick, but, I'm not letting it get me down.

We had an awful time with hubby over the chicken yesterday and it ended in him saying he wasn't going to have any part in it and my son crying his little heart out. But, I believe God is intervening! This morning when I got up my hubby was on the internet researching chickens and what sort of shelter they need. He talked to me about it a bit and asked what I was asking for shelter-wise. He said he didn't hate the rooster. I told him nobody wants a rooster. (Cause he said I needed to find it a home.) Anyway...tell me...how many folks are looking for a rooster for a pet? Gotta be realistic here! Anyhow, at least he's talking about helping the poor thing have a home here. God must have really worked on him last night....because it was caustic here last night!!!! Lots of upset and crying. (Mostly me and son.) Please pray that God totally reaches his heart soon....what with the chicken issue, the mold, needing a new house..I need him to be on my side and not fighting me. God is so good. I see Him working, and I know He doesn't show up too late. He knows Emily and I are getting sick and He'll rescue us.

I'm going to, in the next couple of days, go to the store and see if we sold anything in the last week. I've been staying away and letting it be in God's hands. I pray there will be a lot sold.

I didn't get to either church this weekend. I really feel it when I can't go. I hope you all got out to church!

Have a great day all!

Good Monday Morning Everyone

Leah,
Thank you for starting us out this week. I hear you..it's cold here also. Altho it's now up to 43 degree's. But we had snow flurries and hail yesterday, with west winds gusting uo to 50MPH. We live on the east side, with the big hill behind our house..so them winds did'ent bother us to much. But they have subsided today, and the sun is trying to come out.
I remember haveing to fix one of my power windows. Got the motor from a junk dealer and hubby put it in. That was in my old station wagon.
I'm so glad you are feeling better

Momma-mo,
Good thing your hubby is comeing around for "Benji" But the most important thing is to get rid of that mold problem. Sure hope something works out for that. Hope you sold alot of stuff and have some $$ waiting for you. No..we did'ent get to church Sunday morning either. I work up at 1AM Sunday morning and could'ent get back to sleep. I don't know why..but I was up the rest of the morning. So I figured I would'ent be much good in church. Sure slept great last night tho

Morning, everyone (it's still morning here).

Momma Mo, when you buy that store, you and your kids could move into the back part of it! That might send a message of urgency to hubby.

I have actually slept there! During the winter when it snowed. We used to have a back room but the lady who owned it before the current owner tore the wall out and made one of the display rooms bigger.....NO BACK ROOM! Sniff.....She also tore out a beautiful lighted display where we kept out crystal and Precious Moments....(We didn't like her much, she brought the carpenter in and started insulting the way we had it, while we were still there! She lost a lot of our old customers fast with her snooty attitude.) The current lady is sweet, but I think some old timers would come back if they saw a sign that said "Original Owner" in the window!

I take the chicken coop deal with my hubby as a sign that he could be on his way back. I think it really concerned him that the kids were so upset. God is never late...and He will rescue us from the mold. He will provide the money, the place to stay while the house is either purged or torn down, and means to furnish and take care of the new house.

I like your confidence.

We have a crisis right now. I've written about it in my thread. We need prayer.

Good Tues. Morning Everyone

Brrr..it's cold outside. We have 30 degree's right now. I guess it's not suppose to get much warmer today, only 44 degree's for the high. Tonight we are dropping into the 20's.
I took my three plants inside last night. Mabey I can save them from an early freeze. We even had snow comeing down yesterday. Did'ent stick to the ground...but still... it's way to early for that.
I have to sit outside tonight, in that cold, and watch a play-off football game my son will be in. Guess I best dress really warm, and bring blankets along. Not looking forward to this game either. Guess they have to play a tough team.

{{Maggie}} You and your family are still in my prayers. I checked out your thread. Hang in there girl.

Momma-mo,
Glad to hear you see some improvement in your husbands attitude. Hope everything works out for you.

Leah? Your area cold today?

Good morning! Wow! I just found a deer tick crawling on me!

It's raining here. Supposed to turn to snow flurries later. I agree....too early. Hope you bundle up for that game tonight. Don't want to get sick like me.

I go to the doctor today. He'll check for pneumonia I'm sure. I don't think I have it though. Been there, done that....

Hope everyone has a great day! God Bless!

Thank you, Barb. I couldn't sleep last night. I think I got about 2 1/2 hours. I made dh take some sleeping meds and told him to sleep as late today as he can. He argued with me but I gave him no option. I got up to call his secretary. I've done that, so I intend to go back to bed shortly and get some more sleep.

I don't think we've had any snow flurries yet.

Good morning Barb, Momma-Mo & Maggie . . . . yes, Barb, it was 29 here this morning. Up to 41 now tho.

I'm about to put Garrett on the bus then try to get started sewing, tho my sil is coming over to pick up a basket she's going to fix up for me to use at church Sunday. Garrett just found Bill's empty Fig Newton box from last night -- he thought he'd found him some goodies . . . . Ok, he's on the bus -- had to take time out from typing this to do that.

Bill had an appointment at the VA dermatologist today for a skin problem on his arm, and I had to take him down to meet the VA bus at 5:30 this morning; didn't get much sleep after that, so have been draggy this morning . . I think I'm finally awake enough to do something now.

Wonder where Dee has been keeping herself . . . . DEE -- Come Out! Come Out! Wherever you are! . . . . seriously, I've been missing your posts! {{{{{{{{{DEE}}}}}}}}}}}

Hi Leah, I'm here!

Praying Maggie.

I had Bible study this morning. We're doing Beth Moore's study on Daniel.

I finally finished my son's curtains, so I started on a jumper I bought material for a year ago. I have it cut out and the body sewn together, I want to have her try it on again to see if I think it's too big or not. If I make it too much smaller I'd have to put a zipper in it which I don't want to do. We'll see.

It's cold here too; I covered my mums the last two nights. I'm not sure they need it, but one was a birthday present from my daughter this year, and one is still with just buds, so I did. I picked all the peppers a couple of nights ago. Need to freeze them.

Hi Dee
Great to see you again. I brought my mum plant inside. I'm really not sure what to do with it yet. I bought it this fall. I should dig it in the ground...but they always die over the winter. So I'm thinking of keeping it in the pot, and inside, over the winter. But it's looking pretty bad already. Sure wish I knew how to keep them plants alive
I started crocheting (SP?) some washcloths. Now they are turning out really nice..and I'm thinking about makeing them for my older kids for Christmas gifts. I have two patterns in my sewingroom waiting for me to get to. They are of overhaul bibs for the two small grandkids. I really should get them cut out. Along with a pair of PJ's for my oldest grandson. Have all the things I need to make it all...just havent gotten to it yet.

Have to attend Pam's daughter (my neice) wedding this afternoon. She has a big wedding planned for this next July...but they have decided to get married this afternoon. They will still have the big ceremony in July and the reception then. I feel I should be there this afternoon tho. Afterall...I am her Aunt. So at 3:30PM send up a blessing prayer for them...Lindsay and Peter

Could also use a prayer for my sister-in-law (on my husbands side)
Her mom is'ent doing so well on her fight with cancer. They did'ent think she would make it through the night even. Joan is a lovely lady, and will be missed by her family and friends.

Well, the first snowflakes have fallen! Don't know whether to rejoice like a little kid or cry!

Went to the pulminary doc again. Put me on steroids again....said if he didn't the asthma wouldn't let up. Anyway, on the way home stopped at our old store to see if anything had sold. I sold a couple of videos. She said she wasn't selling much of her stuff either. She has gotten a lot of positive comments though, and a lady was looking at my stuff while I was there.

Hope you all are doing great!

Good Morning All! Where are all of you sleepyheads?! Okay...I confess, hubby got me up before I wanted to be up. Mom is sick, dd2 is sporting a sore throat, I'm sick...looks like dd1 and ds are in charge of the dog and chicken. (The grumblings are already hanging thick in the air....)

I need to wake up because I have e-Bay packages to send. I start my new meds today. (Now I do some grumbling of my own.) It's still steroids and they make my appetite whacko....but, it's a smaller course of them, maybe I won't feel the affects.

It's a cold, clear morning this morning and what's left of the foliage is brilliant and gorgeous against the blue sky! No sign of more snow, but, it's not long now....once the first flakes fall....the actual storms are not too far behind. (That reminds me...I need boots!)

Anyway, everybody have a great day! I'll check back later! Must have coffee......

Hi Momma-mo, hi Barb!

Trying to get the 4yo dressed. She has a lot of clothing issues. OK, good. She's wearing a t-shirt and pants that both used to be her older brothers. She doesn't like jeans at all. She likes soft clothes. I can't say that I blame her, but some of the cute things she won't wear are soft.

I have some black beans soaking; will add them to the chili for tonight.

Good morning Momma-Mo, Barb & Dee!

The leaves are turning slowly around here, but we've had a freeze the last 2 nights, so guess now they'll all turn brown . . . my flower beds sure have

Dee, I really hated it when my kids got into those 'clothing issues'

I've been busy too, so haven't taken any time for the computer this morning. I've got several sewing projects to do . . guess I better keep busy.

Hi All! Lost our sunshine, and saw snow fall today. No accumulation, but, it's a reminder that we'll have a long winter. It's darkening again right now and looks like snow. Got to run to the p.o. with my e-Bay stuff.

I wish you ladies could watch our "Benjamin" out in front of our house! He's starting to come and mix with the regular birds and the squirrels around the bird food. He chases them furiously and fluffs his neck feathers out at them. Looks like something from Jurassic Park! He's so funny! He also comes up front and crows until somebody pays attention to him! (Already spoiled....) Who would have thought a rooster could bring such joy!

Do you think God looks down on us and we bring him JOY?

I know I listen and watch my children and grandkids and they bring me JOY.

Suffering too but it is worth it for the JOY I get because they are in my life.

In just being who they are they are a joy to me.

My boss at work said she didn't have any kids because she knew it was the end times and she didn't want to bring them into that. I felt sorry for her because I know it is the end times too but the joy of children is so great I felt sorry she missed it.

And missed the opportunity to tell her children about God and share Him with them. OH, I know I could have done better in that department with my kids telling them more about God but I do know from what I have I did share. My children know I love God.

Guess what, the two oldest went to church this past Sunday and took my grandkids as well.

Ginny

Good Thur. Morning Everyone

Well my sister Pam, her family, my dad, and another sister, are all traveling today to Mexico. They had to be at the airport by 3:30AM.
Pam's son and his new bride are renewing their wedding vows on the shore of Rivera Maya. All Pam and dad know is they are going south, where it's warm outside I was invited to go along, but passed it up this time. Did'ent want to travel this year. I'm not much for leaving home anyways. They will be gone until Nov.6th. Then they come back only to make sure the reception, planned for Nov.8th, is all ready to go. After that she has to help pack-up her daughter to move out. That's the daughter who got married this week. I'm not sure where her and her new husband will live yet. Goodness...she has alot on her plate

My sister-in-laws mom passed away Tus. night. The family is doing OK so far. Joan was such a sweet lady, and will be missed by many. She has been battleing cancer for over a year now. She was only 69 years old. So we have to attend a funneral Friday night. I had planned on takeing my grandkids trick or treating that night in my neighborhood. But I guess we will have to pass that up this year.

This afternoon my husband has his appt. with the doctor, to talk about his elbow spur. I am going with him this time. I want to know what the doctor says.

So last night Cody had four of his classmates over to watch a movie. They all wanted to go to the showhouse, but I don't allow Cody to drive around with any classmates. So insted of me haveing to take him all the way there, they all decided to come over here insted. They rented a movie. One of his friends is a girl, that calls here almost every night.
I left them all alone in the liveingroom and watch TV in my bedroom. They had my sofa pulled up in front of the TV along with my loveseat. And there they all sat with their soda and chips. They all behaved very well, and were gone by 11PM. (I came out and checked on them twice) Cody's "friend" could'ent understand my rule on not letting Cody drive with them all. She told Cody, to tell me, Dillion was a teriffic driver, and passed the driveing test with high grades. So when they all got here, and I was introduced to Dillion, I explainned to him my long standing rule. It was not intended to say he was, or was'ent, a poor driver. It was and is just a rule I have always had. Cody said.."see, I told you all, mom had this rule with all my brothers and sisters" LOL
